C+M Is Going to Hollywood

Look for us in front of Mann’s Chinese Theater soon.

It’s not every day someone offers to put the name of my web site in lights. That’s exactly what happened a couple of weeks ago though when Zeusvision approached me with an offer to run digital display ads featuring C+M on the sides of buses driving through Los Angeles. At first, I was like really? And was frankly dubious. Then I remembered that I once made a T-shirt called Viva Queens y L.A. and took it as a sign from the Universe.

“Outdoor advertising is an elitist business. I want to bring the power of large-scale outdoor media within reach of the average person,” Giovanni Wolfgang, Zeusvision CEO, says adding that his company’s aim is to democratize the outdoor advertising game by making it affordable for everyone. Wolfgang points out that the cost of such advertising would be prohibitive for the little guys, thus outdoor advertising has largely been the province of the big guys like Ted Turner and Clear Channel.

This week Zeusvision launched its public campaign with prices starting at $5 for one ad to $99 for 25 30-second spots. I am excited to be part of this launch. If you’re out in the City of Angels don’t be surprised if you see some delicious food from Queens roll by you next month. Who knows, maybe I’ll hit the big time like Ellen.
