Queens Rapper Curses, Eats His Way Through NYC, S. Africa

Action Bronson is many things: rapper, chef, Twitter oversharer, and gourmand of prolific proportions. Above all though, he’s my favorite emcee, spitting complex rhymes that are as dense with references to Queens as they are chock full of food. So it’s no surprise that his home borough features heavily in the debut of his new Vice Munchies series, “Fuck, That’s Delicious.”

Before Bronsolino heads over to Eddies’s Sweet Shop in Forest Hills he pays a visit to Roberta’s in Bushwick. “Chefs hate when you fuck with their food,” he says as he adds chili oil and crushed red pepper to a plate of pasta with lemon essence. “I don’t give a fuck.”

By my admittedly unscientific count the F-bomb and other profanity appear in the show 23 times, an average of .47 times a minute. Bronson’s love for Eddie’ s Sweet Shop is clear. It’s the only stop where he delivers the show’s signature line. “Fuck, that’s delicious,” he says sipping on a black and white malted milkshake. “I come here to feel like a child again,” he says.  Me too Action, me too.
